ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - The Minnesota State Patrol says alcohol was involved in a motorcycle crash in Richmond that sent two people to St. Cloud Hospital.

Investigators say 54-year-old Daniel Yarke, of Richmond, was riding his Harley Davidson westbound on Highway 23 around 3:15 Saturday afternoon when he attempted to turn onto County Road 43 in front of an oncoming car.

The state patrol says Yarke lost control and laid down his motorcycle, sliding into the side of the car.

The man, and his passenger, 55-year-old Arlene Yarke, were taken to St. Cloud Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

The state patrol's incident report indicates Yarke had been drinking.

No one in the car was injured.
