MINNEAPOLIS, MN (AP) - A 33-year-old man is charged with a downtown Minneapolis bank bomb threat that led to a lunchtime evacuation of hundreds of people.

Philip Pariso of Inver Grove Heights is charged in Hennepin County with two counts of terroristic threats and two counts of kidnapping. Police say Pariso entered the M&I Bank on Friday and said he had a bomb, a gun or both. That prompted the evacuation of Gaviidae Common and the closure of several surrounding streets.

Police searched Pariso's book bag but say he did not have a bomb or gun. Pariso remains jailed, with bail set at $250,000. A court hearing is scheduled Tuesday.
