ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - A 24-year-old Rice man was arrested and faced felony charges after investigators said he installed a camera in a restroom at St. Cloud's Crossroad Center Mall during the height of the holiday shopping season, according to police.

Joshua John Lavalle was arrested Monday by Benton County Sheriff's deputies and Rice police officers, St. Cloud police Sgt. Martin Sayre said.

Sayre said Lavalle, 24, put the video camera in the mall public bathroom on Nov. 25, the day after Thanksgiving.

Police could not immediately disclose how many people were captured on the camera's video or whether those victims had been notified.

Lavalle was booked into the Stearns County Jail facing a possible felony charge of interfering with privacy.

Sayre said more information was expected to be released on the case late Wednesday.
