ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - Staff in the St. Cloud Area School District are so excited for class to get started they put together a video for everyone to see.

The video titled We Are Ready shows staff preparing for the thousands of kids who will show up for class this week.

Select middle level and high school students start school on Tuesday.

The rest of District 742 goes back to class on Wednesday.

In the Sartell - St. Stephen School District and the Sauk Rapids - Rice School District classes start on Tuesday for kindergarten through ninth grade.

Sophomores, juniors, and seniors start school on Wednesday.

With school starting drivers are being reminded to be on the lookout for school buses and kids near buses and schools.

When approaching a school bus with its stop arm out you need to stop either 20 feet in front of the bus or 20 feet behind the bus until the driver pulls the stop sign back in.

In order to crack down on drivers who commit stop arm violations the state has increased the fine from $300 to $500.
