MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Minnesota Vikings plan heightened security for the team's final game at the Metrodome next weekend.

It was 32 years ago Friday that the Vikings wrapped up their final game at the old Metropolitan Stadium in Bloomington. After the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Vikings 10-6 on Dec. 20, 1981, fans swarmed the field to grab anything they could.

Fans tore down the goalposts, the loudspeakers in the end zone and pieces of the scoreboard. Nine people were arrested.

Officials say they're determined it won't happen again. They held a security summit at the Metrodome on Wednesday.

New reports say there will be nearly twice the number of Minneapolis police on hand for a typical game.

And fans won't be allowed to leave with souvenirs.
