ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) Governor Dayton has ordered all flags at state and federal buildings in Minnesota to be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset Wednesday in honor and remembrance of peace officers who have been killed or injured in the line of duty.

Dayton has proclaimed the day as Law Enforcement Memorial Day in Minnesota.

The families of two police officers from the state are in Washington D.C., where the names of Tom Decker and Josh Lynaugh are being dedicated on the National Law Enforcement Memorial wall.

Decker died in November when he was shot while responding to a call in Cold Spring. Lynaugh was a St. Paul police officer who died in February after suffering a heart attack while chasing a suspect.

Decker was 31 years old. Lynaugh was 30.
