CHANHASSEN, Minn. (KNSI) A winter storm will bring accumulating snow to southwest, west central and central Minnesota Thursday.

The snowfall is expected to begin around Morris and Alexandria after 9 am. The snowfall will begin across southwest Minnesota, northeast to St. CLoud and Mora after 12 noon.

The greatest snowfall amounts will occur from Montevideo northeast to St. Cloud and Mora, with accumulations around four inches before it tapers off Thursday evening.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 10 pm Thursday for St. Cloud, Little Falls, Princeton, Mora, Elk River, Cambridge, Willmar, Litchfield, Monticello and Redwood Falls.
