ST. PAUL, MN (AP) - A new round of television advertising criticizing President Barack Obama over the federal debt is airing on stations in the usual swing states and Minnesota, too.
The state isn't considered one of those Obama and Republican nominee-to-be Mitt Romney will concentrate on. But Americans for Prosperity has included Minnesota in an 11-state, $6.7 million ad buy that begins Wednesday.
A spokesman for the group says it will spend $500,000 in Minnesota to run the ad for a week. The group also aired ads in Minnesota earlier this summer.
The new ad uses footage of a rising debt meter and Obama remarks about turning around the country.
Americans for Prosperity was formed by the conservative billionaire brothers Charles and David Koch.
