SAUK RAPIDS, Minn. (KNSI) - The Minnesota State Patrol says mayor Brad Gunderson's blood alcohol level was 0.26 when he was arrested in February.

Patrol Captain Al Kutz tells KNSI News that the results of the test will be routed to the Sauk Rapids City Attorney's Office for possible charges. In that event, Kutz says the case will be handled by the Law Office of Kelm and Reuter.

Gunderson was arrested after he smashed into two trash cans and a crosswalk sign in Sauk Rapids on February 17th. He was suspended from his job as a Dial-A-Ride driver for Metro Bus.

He also has two prior drunken driving convictions on his record dating back to the 1980's.

Residents called for Gunderson's resignation at a Sauk Rapids City Council meeting on Feburary 25th. The council is looking into drafting a resolution with their recommendations for Gunderson's mayoral future.
