ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) Minnesota's latest legislative session may be over, but now is no time for lawmakers to rest.

Legislators of both parties have already begun touring the state, touting their list of achievements and raising funds for the next election campaign.

Gov. Mark Dayton and other Democrats are telling residents they kept their promise to balance the budget fairly.

Republicans are countering that their policies are better for Minnesota.

The battle is already shaping up in northern Minnesota.

Freshman Democratic Rep. Joe Radinovich of Crosby won a narrow victory in a socially conservative district. He says he knows he alienated some voters by supporting gay marriage, but he thinks they'll support lawmakers who do the right thing.

Republican rival Dale Lueck says Radinovich committed "political suicide."
