ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - A St. Cloud man has pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography.

Samuel David Teachman admitted to three counts of possession of child pornography in exchange for the state dropping five counts of disseminating child pornography and two counts of possession of child pornography.

The deal calls for Teachman to serve no more than 60 days in jail when he is sentenced on November 8th.

Two years and one month in prison will be stayed meaning he will not serve time in prison.

He will be required to register as a predatory offender.

The 34-year-old admitted to viewing several videos showing girls between the ages of 3 and 10 engaging in sexual conduct.

On August 1st, 2016, investigators say they were able to download a video directly from an IP address registered to Teachman at 426 4th Avenue Northeast apartment 1, in St. Cloud.

On March 1st, police executed a search warrant on Teachman’s home and seized his computer, tablet, and all of his hard drives.

Police say they found 13 videos involving minors on his computer.

When interviewed by police Teachman admitted to downloading child pornography for “research” because he wanted to see if his child was in any of the videos.

He told police that he had gone to counseling for viewing child pornography in 2007 and that he began watching child pornography again two years ago.
