FOLEY, MN (KNSI) – It has now been made official, Foley has a new police chief. The Foley City Council held a special meeting Monday and formally hired Brant Standrige, whose first day on the job will be Saturday.

Standridge will make about $53,000 a year--not including benefits.  He's most recently been a police officer in White Earth, Minnesota.

The council also voted to accept the resignation of Interim Police Chief Hal Henning, effective this Friday.

Foley disbanded its police department in 2003, but in February voted to revive it.
