ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - A man is accused of cutting a man with a knife when an argument turned violent.

St. Cloud Police say that 22-year-old Niles Dean Torkkola, from St. Cloud, got into an argument with the 65-year-old victim's wife Wednesday morning at a residence on 7th Street South and 9th Avenue South.

Torkkola took a knife from 66-year-old Linda Weller and threatened to stab the man with it.

Authorities say when the man tried to take his wife's knife back from Torkkola, he suffered a cut on his thumb that required stitches.

Torkkola was located at the 600 block of 9th Avenue South and was arrested for 2nd degree assault.
