ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - The Benton County Sheriff's Office says someone is stealing road signs, causing safety issues.

The thefts over the last several weeks include stop signs (including those with a flashing LED border), pavement ends signs and no passing signs.

Benton County Sheriff Troy Heck says the thefts are causing serious safety concerns, and fortunately no accidents have been attributed to the missing signs.

The sheriff is asking anyone with information about the stolen signs and the possession of any stolen traffic control signs to contact the Benton County Sheriff's Office at 320-968-7201.

People with tips can also call Tri-County Crime Stoppers at 800-255-1301.
