ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - In the wake of the Crossroads Center stabbings, St. Cloud State University students led a #StCloudUNITED rally Tuesday night.

The rally focused on bringing students and community members together in solidarity, while celebrating SCSU's diverse community.

"And I'm here to tell you this, we cannot and will not stand for ignorance, we cannot and will not stand for hate," Residence Hall Association president Mica Saucedo.

"The people of this town are our family, regardless of race, religion or background. I challenge you to see the beauty that is here, speak life into your city and its people. I challenge you to pray and love," said Muslim Student Association president Habso Mohamud.

Mayor Dave Kleis, Interim SCSU President Ashish Vaidya and St. Cloud Police Chief Blair Anderson also spoke to the crowd of hundreds at the rally.

"Are we recommitted to building community?" Kleis said to a resounding applause from the crowd.

Students and community members marched through campus to wrap up the rally.
