ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - The Morrison County Sheriff's Office says some residents may have heard loud bangs as police executed a search warrant on Monday morning.

The sheriff's office says the search warrant stemmed from a joint narcotics investigation with the Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force and Pierz Police Department.

Investigators say the search warrant was executed at about 6 a.m. at a residence in Pierz.

The Morrison County SWAT Team was asked to assist and, during execution of the warrant, deployed distraction devices to confuse people in the residence.

The sheriff's office says no shots were fired.

The sheriff's office says no arrests were made and it's still an active and open investigation.
