ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - After getting less than anticipated snow amounts Tuesday night, the snow continued to push those totals towards the double digits early Wednesday.

The city of Sauk Rapids reported over 8 inches of snow by 9 a.m. Wednesday, a total matched by Sartell. St. Cloud officals said that they received 4.7 inches as of 6 a.m. Wednesday, a total expected to rise significantly falling the heavy morning snowfall.

Further west of the St. Cloud metro area has seen a higher amount of snow fall, Alexandria reported 12 inches as of 4 a.m. Wednesday, while Sauk Centre saw 8 inches of snow overnight, and parts of Morrison county have seen as much as 11.5 inches as of 7 a.m.
