ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - A former Muslim who is now a Christian pastor is bringing his warning of Sharia to St. Cloud.

Shahram Hadian fled Iran with his family in December 1978 just before the Islamic revolution.

"Their ideology very clearly calls for the bringing down and overthrow of any what they consider man-made government, that's what they did in Iran, I lived that firsthand," said Hadian, on with KNSI's Ox in the Afternoon.

"Iran, even though Muslim populated, was being governed under a monarchy that had to be brought down and a revolution happened and an Islamic government was set up. That's the extent goal of Islam, that's not radical Islam, that is Islam."

He says the political correctness about talking about Islam needs to be stomped out.

"Islam in itself, Sharia in itself cannot be protected under the First Amendment."

But he says an individual Muslim, who wants to follow the parts of their teaching that is religious, should be granted First Amendment religious protections.

Hadian's speech at Granite City Baptist Church Thursday night is titled The Trojan Horse of Interfaith Dialogue.

He says his speech will reveal how interfaith dialogue is compromising the Gospel and the United States' national security.

Hadian expects protesters at the event and is asking people truly interested in hearing him speak to arrive early to ensure they get a seat.

In May of 2016, a crowd of people showed up outside the church to protest a speech by Usama Dakdok, who travels the country warning people about Islam, calling it a dangerous cult.
