ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - A St. Cloud based trucking company is doing its part to help out with relief efforts in flood-ravaged Texas.

Anderson Trucking Services is dedicating more than 200 trucks to haul relief supplies to areas impacted by Hurricane Harvey.

"Our hearts go out to all of the citizens and businesses impacted by this disaster," said Jeff Potthoff, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the company’s Van division.

He says they have a terminal in Houston so it's their community too.

"We have employees, drivers and contractors that live there, so we are going to do everything we can to help them and all of our customers in the area get through this."

He says ATS will be utilizing 220 of its van and flatbed trailers to transport daily loads, originating from points all over the country, into the affected region.

Initially the loads will consist of things like water and food, but will be expanded to include larger commodities like building materials and heavy equipment.

The company says it will also be matching employee donations to relief efforts dollar for dollar during the week of September 4-8.
