ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - Stearns County has appointed a new Human Services Administrator to head the county's largest department.

The Board of Commissioners selected Melissa Huberty, who brings 22 years of experience working in human services.

Most recently Huberty was Director of Adult Services for Ramsey County for three years.

She also has worked as the Human Services Manager for Ramsey County Community Human Services, Supervisor for the Social Work Unit for Hennepin County Human Services and Public Health Department.

She also was a Senior Psychiatric Social Worker for the Hennepin County Mental Health Center.

Huberty will take her new position starting next Monday.

Mark Sizer was the Human Services Administrator for the last six years.

He retired after 23 years with the county, prompting the hiring of Huberty.
