The Star Tribune reports there were about 20 vehicles parked outside the farm site when officers arrived shortly after midnight. Moments later, Anyasike and others at the property ran.

Anyasike's body was foundĀ some 12 hours laterĀ in a nearby farm field. He was taken to a Madison hospital but efforts to revive him were unsuccessful. The cause of death has not been released.

Anyasike was a star running back on the Dawson-Boyd football team that played in the Prep Bowl last fall, losing to Mahnomen in the title game. He rushed for more than 1,200 yards and 14 touchdowns on the season.
