ST. CLOUD, MN (KNSI) - West St. Paul is telling residents in part of the suburban community not to drink their tap water.

The city says electrical outages during storms early Tuesday caused low pressure in part of the system. It says the outage shut off one pumping station, which allowed its water tank to drain and created the low pressure.

Low pressure makes it easier for harmful bacteria to enter the water system. As a precaution, city officials have asked customers served by that pump station not to drink the tap water.
