ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) Governor Dayton meets with legislative leaders Friday afternoon to talk about the parameters of a one day, special legislative session.

The primary focus of the session will be legislative action to approve $4.5 million in state matching funds for storm damage assistance to 18 counties hit hard by June storms. But it could expand beyond that.

Republicans want the special session to include the repeal of a business to business tax on warehousing services. Governor Mark Dayton says that can wait until the 2014 regular session, because the tax isn't scheduled to take effect until April.

But St. Cloud Republican Representative Tama Theis favors repealing it now, because now is when the impacted businesses are putting together their 2014 budgets.

Beyond that, Theis says the special session should focus on the disaster aid. She says that's what is "most important." She says, "we need to get that taken care of. That should still be our number one priority."
