MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (AP) Forecasters project no significant flooding on the major rivers that converge in the Twin Cities area.

An update Friday from the North Central River Forecast Center says chances are under 10 percent that the Mississippi River at St. Paul will rise as high as two years ago, when it closed roads near downtown.

Chances are similarly low of the Minnesota River overtaking roads and bridges in the southwest metro. There's just a 5 percent chance of it affecting Interstate 35W between Burnsville and Bloomington. Chances that the St. Croix River will limit operations of the Stillwater Lift Bridge are under 20 percent.

The outlook was not updated this week for the Red River, which flows through Fargo-Moorhead and Grand Forks, but significant flooding remains likely.
