ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) The St. Cloud area remains in a Winter Weather Advisory until ten o'clock Tuesday morning due to blowing snow and sub-zero wind chills.

Wind gusts to near 25 miles an hour will create blowing snow and reduce visibilities to less than a mile at times. Wind chill values Tuesday morning are in the 15 below to 25 below zero range. St. Cloud picked up another 3.2 inches of snow Monday.  That brings the monthly total to 16.3 inches and the seasonal total to just under 54 inches.

Highways are re-opening in western Minnesota after a late-winter storm dumped up to 5 inches of snow.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says Interstate 94 from Moorhead to Alexandria, Highway 10 from Moorhead to Audubon and Highway 210 from Breckenridge to Fergus Falls all reopened around 5 p.m. Monday. But driving remains difficult. U.S. Highway 2 will remain closed between Crookston and East Grand Forks until Tuesday morning.

The National Weather Service says the storm dumped up to 5 inches of snow in the Alexandria area. Long Prairie received 4 inches, Little Falls 3.5 inches and Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport 3.1 inches.
