ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - No doubt about it - central Minnesota is a winter wonderland.

The National Weather Service is now reporting Winter Weather Advisory until 10 p.m. Thursday night.

According to totals collected by St. Cloud State University, the city received a total of 7.8 inches of snow by 11:00 a.m. on Thursday.

While it's definitely snowy out there, after April 1st, snow emergencies can no longer be issued. Gerry Kaeter, the assistant director of Operations and Maintenance for the city of St. Cloud, tells KNSI they do have plans when it comes to plowing the residential areas.

"If people want areas where they've parked to be plowed, they'll have to move them overnight," Kaeter says. "We will plow today to get most of everything done, and then we'll be out to work again around 1am in order to plow the "bird baths," or areas where we couldn't during the day when cars were parked there."

Other noteworthy snowfall totals in Minnesota include Marshall at 12 inches, Redwood Falls with 11.5 inches, Montevideo at 10 inches, and Glencoe reporting 8.8 inches.

According to the NWS, 1-3 more inches of snow is likely for tomorrow.
