ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI)- The Rocori Spartans defeated the Sartell-St.Stephen Sabres in 5 sets on Thursday night.

After splitting the first four sets (18-25,25-16, 23-25, 25-20), Rocori dominated the 5th set winning by a score of 15-6.

Caitlin Heinen led the way for Spartans with 8 kills and 16 assists. For her efforts, she was named the All Star Trophy and Awards Player of the Game.

Many Rocori fans were clad in United States apparel. This comes a day after the Rocori school board rescinded their ban on displaying flags on vehicles in the school parking lot.

With the win, Rocori improves to 7-1 on the season. They are at home against Apollo on Tuesday.

With the loss, Sartell falls to 0-3 on the year. They battle St. Cloud Tech on the road Tuesday night.
