Sports for Wednesday, September 24th

SPORTS BROUGHT TO YOU BY ST. CLOUD TOYOTA

MLB: Twins 6, Diamondbacks 3

-       Kyle Gibson picked up his 13th win of the year

-       Joe Mauer left the game after being hit with a pitch. It is being called a bruise and he is day-to-day

-       Last home game of the season, first pitch this afternoon at 12:10pm

-       Phil Hughes will make the start for the Twins

-       Interesting note: Phil Hughes has a 500k bonus if he reaches 210 innings on the season. Right now he is at 201.2, which means he needs to pitch almost the entire game for the bonus.

NFL:

-       An Arizona man picked all 15 NFL games right over the weekend and turned his 5 dollar bet into just short off 58-thousand dollars.

-       The Vikings will host the Atlanta Falcons Sunday

-       Giants and the Redskins start week four Tomorrow night on CBS

College Football:

-       The Scott Underwood Show is LIVE on KNSI tonight 6pm

-       The Gophers will take on Michigan Saturday in Ann Arbor, but it seems as if the Maize and Blue are having issues filling the stands. Numerous signs on campus has convenience stores giving away TWO tickets (75 dollar face value apiece) with the purchase of two soft drinks.

MSC: St. Cloud Apollo over St. Cloud Tech 3-0 in Girls Volleyball, heard here on KNSI

-       Thursday night will have boys Soccer as Sartell travels to St. Cloud Tech here on AM 1450 FM 103.3 KNSI
