SPORTS BROUGHT TO YOU BY ST. CLOUD TOYOTA

 

NFL: Packers 42, Vikings 10

-       Christian Ponder got the start and was awful, 22-44 for 222 yards and 2 INT’s

-       Packers opened the game on a 42-0 run, Aaron Rodgers did not play in the 4th

-       Vikings will now be off for a bit before taking on the Lions next Sunday at home

-       NFL announced that the 2015 NFL Draft will be held in Chicago in late April

 

MLB: 

ALDS Game 1:

-       Orioles 12, Tigers 3 (Baltimore leads series 1-0)

-       Royals 3, Angels 2 (Knasas City leads series 1-0)

 

Today:

-       Tigers vs. Orioles - Game 2 // 11am

-       Giants vs. Nationals - Game 1 // 2pm

-       Cardinals vs. Dodgers - Game 1 // 5:30pm

-       Royals vs. Angels - Game 2 // 8:30pm

 

-       Twins interviewed Doug Mientkiewicz for the Manager position. They are also expected to interview Terry Steinbach before looking outside the organization. 

 

NHL:  Blues 4, Wild 1

-       Wild claimed Nate Prosser off of waivers yesterday. The defenseman will join us on the Benchwarmers Saturday at 11am

 

High School Football: All games set for pregame start times of 6:30

-       Sauk Rapids-Rice vs. St. Cloud Tech, on AM 1450 FM 103.3 KNSI

-       Rocori vs. Sartell on 800AM

-       Cathedral vs. Zimmerman on 660AM

-       Foley vs. Little Falls on 1010AM

 

College Football:

-       SCSU vs. Crookston, 12:30pm pregame on AM 1450 FM 103.3 KNSI

-       Johnnies vs. Hamline, 1pm

 

College Hockey: SCSU starts their season

-       Saturday night, SCSU hosts Trinity Western, 6:30pm on Lite Rock 99.9

 

College Sports:

-       Carol Howe-Veenstra, St. Ben's athletic director, will retire next summer ending a long run as the AD. She started in the role in 1987.
