Sports for Monday, November 17th

NFL: Bears 21, Vikings 13

-       Vikings only gained 195 yards on offense, with the longest play of the day coming on a fake punt

-       Vikings lead 10-0 after the first quarter

-       Vikings and Bears are now tied for last at 4-6

 

-       After the game, Vikings Head Coach Mike Zimmer was unhappy that the game clocks at Solider Field were not working. His exact quote was "The clocks here are (bleep)"

 

-       Adrian Peterson has his hearing with the NFL today on whether or not he should be taken off the ‘commissioners exempt list’

Packers 53, Eagles 20

-       Aaron Rodgers has yet to throw an INT at home this season

Cardinals 14, Lions 6

-       With the loss, the Lions and Packers are tied for 1st place

 

Monday Night Football: Steelers @ Titans, 7:30pm on ESPN

 

NBA: Wolves were off

-       Wolves are idle until Wednesday when they host the New York Knicks

-       Wolves have given up on average 135 points in their last two losses

 

NHL: Wild 4, Jets 3 F/OT

-       Zach Parise returned from his concussion and scored two goals for the Wild

-       Wild have now won 3 in a row after a 4 game losing streak

-       Wild are off until Thursday when they take on the Flyers

 

College Football:

-       Johnnies are in the playoffs, and it will be a familiar face. Kurt Rambler, who was the Johnnies offensive coordinator before taking the Head Coaching job at St. Scholastica, will lead the Saints into Collegeville Saturday.

-       Huskies finished their season with a 55-44 win over Mary

-       Gophers fell at home 31-24 to Ohio State

 

-       Minnesota Duluth and Minnesota State Mankato are also in the playoffs, the D2 playoffs. Mankato has a bye, while Duluth will host NW Mizzou State

 

College Hockey:

-       Huskies picked up a win and a tie over the weekend at Western Michigan

-       They will host North Dakota this weekend

-       The Bob Motzko Show is TONIGHT, live at the Green Mill, 6pm on KNSI

 

High School Sports:

-       Becker and Holdingford picked up wins over the weekend to advance to the Prep Bowl this Friday at TCF Bank Stadium

-       We will have the games on the Metro Sports Commission
