Sports for Friday, July 25th

MLB: White Sox 5, Twins 2
Danny Santana had a 2-run HR for the Twins
Pitchers are dropping like flies, Phil Hughes left the game in the 4th inning with an ankle injury after being hit by a line drive. He is day-to-day with a bruise
Same two teams back in action tonight, John Danks (8-6) vs. Kevin Correia (5-12), 7:10pm first pitch
Twins traded 1st baseman Kendrys Morales to the Seattle Mariners for a Triple A reliever. Morales joined the team in June. He played with the Mariners last season.
Former Twin Chuck Knoblauch was arrested Wednesday night after allegedly assaulting his ex-wife. According to police reports, he slammed the woman into a wall and threw a humidifier at her. Knoblauch was convicted in 2010 of another case of domestic violence with another woman.
The Twins have called off the August 23rd induction of Knoblauch into the Twins Hall of Fame. As of right now there are no plans for rescheduling.

NFL: Vikings have their first practice today
Players arrived yesterday, we saw Teddy Bridgewater on a bike riding through the campus of MSU-Mankato
Head Coach Mike Zimmer will be speaking with us after the walk through around 11:30am
Vikings Special Teams coach Mike Prefier spoke with the media yesterday. Said he was wrong to make his anti-gay comment and that he has learned from it. Prefier is suspended for the first 3 games of the upcoming season.
Seattle Seahawk's Marshawn Lynch will be a holdout. The running back wants a new contract from the Super Bowl Champion Seahawks.
Baltimore Ravens Running Back Ray Rice was suspended for 2 games yesterday for his domestic assault of his now wife. He was caught on video dragging his unconscious wife out of a casino elevator. 
The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed first round pick Andrew Wiggins. This means that they CANNOT trade him for 30 days. He is supposedly a key figure in a possible trade for Kevin Love.

Congrats to Katie Williams who won the female division of the St. Cloud City Junior Tennis tournament. Williams attends St. Cloud Tech.
