ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) – They say winning is a habit, for St. Cloud Cathedral’s Jeff Fasching, thank goodness habits are hard to break.

Behind Fasching’s strong pitching performance, Cathedral advanced on to the semi-finals of the 6-2A Boy’s baseball state playoffs with a 5-1 win over the unranked Blake School. The win runs the Crusaders record to 25-1 on the season, with Fasching running his unbeaten streak to 27 starts. With the win, Cathedral’s Head Coach Bob Karn extends his record of most wins by a Minnesota State Baseball Coach, with 709.

Cathedral will not have much time to celebrate their win as they back in action tomorrow taking on the winner of Delano and Glencoe-Silver Lakes, a match-up that will take place at Noon on Dick Putz Field in St. Cloud.
