ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - St. Cloud native Nate Wolters and his family had a night to remember Thursday night as the former Tech Tiger heard his name called in the 2013 NBA Draft.

The aftermath of the 38th overall pick turned confusing, but in the end it meant the realization of a basketball dream for Wolters.

The Washington Wizards officially entered the 2nd round selection that will go down as the pick to put Wolters into the NBA. But in reality the former SDSU Jackrabbit All-American and Central Minnesota native son will head to the Milwaukee Bucks after the Wizards shipped him to the Philadelphia 76ers who turned around and sent him to Milwaukee.

Thanks to a convoluted NBA draft regulation that does not allow for the official trading of picks on the day of the draft, trades of players actually selected instead are finalized the day following the draft.

Wolters, a point guard who ended his career at SDSU as the school's all-time scoring leader, said prior to the draft he was looking forward to quickly settling into his new city, start preparing to join his new team and take the next step in his career.
