Burnsville, Minn. - St. Cloud State baseball gained four athletes to the 2014 All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) baseball honors announced Tuesday by the league office.

SCSU's senior right-handed pitcher Kyle Fischer (New Ulm) and sophomore relief pitcher Reese Gregory (St. Cloud) earned First Team honors, while juniors Michael Jurgella (Plover, Wis.) and Eric Loxtercamp (Cold Spring) were named All-NSIC Second Team. Loxtercamp was also received NSIC Gold Glove status in 2014 for his defensive play in center field.

This marks the third consecutive season that Kyle Fischer has earned All-NSIC honors in baseball. Fischer owns a 6-3 record this season with a 2.42 ERA. He has pitched 67 innings and has posted 65 strikeouts for the Huskies this season.

Gregory marks his second season earning All-NSIC honors. He has been a dominate player for St. Cloud this season leading the team on the mound with a 9-2 record including seven saves and a stellar 1.08 ERA. He has appeared in 21 games for 50 innings of work and has tallied 53 strikeouts on the season. Gregory also leads the team at the plate batting .413 including seven doubles and one home run.

Jurgella has had an outstanding junior season as he is batting .395 which includes 15 doubles, one triple and seven home runs. He leads the team with 42 RBI and defensively behind the plate he holds a .978 fielding percentage. Loxtercamp has also had a great junior season batting .360 including 13 doubles, seven triples and one home run. He has been perfect in the field for St. Cloud with 66 putouts, four assists and has committed no errors.

The Huskies ended the 2014 regular season holding a 35-12 overall record and a third place finish in the NSIC with a 24-9 record. St. Cloud moves on to be the No. 3 seed in the NSIC Tournament, as they will take on No. 6 seed Northern State University in round one of the tournament. The Huskies and the Wolves will go head-to-head on Wednesday, May 7th with the first pitch set for 3 p.m. from the Sioux Falls Stadium.
