ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - The St. Cloud Salvation Army Family Store is up for sale.

Major Mike Parker says after nearly five years of business, donations to the location at 55 Park Avenue South have slowed and it's not profitable enough to stay open.

He says the store will remain open until it's sold, and that the ministry's services and programs will not be impacted by the sale.

"The Salvation Army has been serving St. Cloud since 1896, we’re not going anywhere," Parker said in a news release.

He says the whole purpose of having the store is to support the programs they offer, and when the numbers don't add up it's time to focus on other efforts to raise money.

He thanks everyone who has supported the store and says it will operate as usual until it is sold.
